Make connections with Follow the things

Looking for a resource to help make connections between people, places and things, across global supply chains? Followthethings.com is a resource to keep in your back pocket.

A spoof shopping website, Followthethings.com operates with a focus on trade justice activism. In this way, content on the website examines the hidden yet very real social, political, and economic ties between consumers and the everyday products they consume–food, fashion, electronics, etc.

A project stemming from Ian Cook, at University of Exeter, and inspired by many, Followthethings.com holds a treasure trove of resources to explore.

Of particular interest, may be the project’s engagement with ‘political lego’ as a tool to flush out and examine (dis)connections related to global production networks.
